Even before I was born, my mother owned a beauty salon. I grew up surrounded by hair dryers, brushes, and conversations about haircare routines, rituals, secrets, and scents. My mother has always been passionate about hair… and I definitely inherited it.At home, there were four girls, all seemingly blessed with “perfect hair”: my mom with sleek, straight hair, my sisters with abundant, soft, shiny locks… and then there was me, with rebellious hair full of waves, frizz, and thin strands.For years, I felt like something about me didn’t fit. At 16, I became frustrated seeing that my hair wouldn’t grow. I started using extensions, thinking they were the solution. But without realizing it, they became an addiction that damaged my relationship with my own hair even more. 11 years went by hiding my insecurities behind them, trying to be someone I didn’t feel I was.Everything changed in December 2023. Together with my mother and sisters, I started researching noble ingredients to restore hair health from the roots. Six months later, my hair began to tell a different story: shine, strength, growth, and life.That transformation gave me more than healthy hair, it gave me back my confidence.In March 2024, the idea of sharing this change with other women was born. That’s how LUA came to life: a brand based on my personal experience and my desire to help others care for their hair, and themselves.I tried it with my sisters, my mother’s clients, my friends… no matter the hair type, I remember saying excitedly. “I’m obsessed with this product.”LUA started with a single product, a simple, natural, and conscious ritual, because I learned that less is more, and true beauty lies in the essentials.
